This modern condo in Alameda’s vibrant West End offers many thoughtful details and elegant finishes. Built in 2015, this sophisticated and spacious multi-story home is just steps from Alameda Landing, and offers an open floor plan, spacious dining and living rooms, an incredibly large chef’s kitchen, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and an attached, two-car garage.

The home’s front entrance is tucked away from the main street, offering quiet and privacy. Inside, stairs lead to an extravagant second story dining and living room, kitchen, bedroom and full bathroom. This beautiful, open space, spacious enough to host abundant celebrations, features striking engineered hardwood floors, large windows with plantation shutters, nine foot ceilings and a private balcony,

A special feature of the spacious living room is the 70” electric wall-mount fireplace that is centered between built-in bookshelves and cabinets. A 75” Samsung 4K Ultra HD flat screen TV and built-in speaker system combine to create a luxurious, in-home entertainment experience.

The open kitchen includes a large center island, ample drawer and cabinet space, and a roomy walk-in pantry. Granite counters perfectly complement the dark cabinets, as do the gray and white tones in the clear-glass and marble subway tile backsplash. Premium stainless steel appliances include a wine cooler, a built-in Bosch microwave and Bosch dishwasher, a Samsung Showcase refrigerator, and a Bosch five-burner gas range. The center island doubles as a breakfast counter, and separates the kitchen from the expansive dining and living rooms.

The first of the home’s four bedrooms is on this main level, strategically located away from living areas for privacy. A full bathroom across the hall is easily accessible for this bedroom, as well as from the living room, and kitchen. There is also a sizable walk-in closet.

A formal staircase leads to the third level of the home, where three additional bedrooms and two bathrooms await. The long hallway ends at an immaculate master suite in which the attention to detail cannot be surpassed. The walk-in closet boasts built-in California Closets, and the spa-like master bathroom has everything, including a large linen closet, soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed, walk-in shower with a quartz surround, shower bench and an additional rain shower head. A dual vanity offers plenty of storage, and is topped with creamy white quartz. In addition, both the master bedroom and bathroom have built-in speakers.

Two additional bedrooms are down the hall. Both bedrooms are generously sized with roomy closets, and plantation shutters for privacy. A bathroom with sophisticated finishes is conveniently located for easy access to both bedrooms.

Just a ferry ride away from San Francisco and Oakland, and a quick shuttle ride to BART, this impeccable condo offers the opportunity to be part of a pedestrian-friendly, urban village within walking distance to the shops and restaurants at Alameda Landing and downtown Webster Street. This area offers not only convenient commuting options, but also easy proximity to all that Alameda has to offer.

Alameda was once a peninsula connected to the Oakland docks. In 1902, a canal was dredged to enable easier shipping access, and that turned Alameda into an island. A little off the beaten track, Alameda has a laid-back vibe all its own. Despite its 80,000 residents, there's still a small-town feeling in Alameda.

A 4th of July Parade, complete with horse-drawn carriages, embodies the small-town feel in Alameda, which has preserved much of its Victorian housing stock, cottages, and central, walkable shopping district along Park Street. The Alameda Theater on Park Street was restored to its art deco glory. Civic pride runs high here; formerly the Carnegie Library, the Alameda Free Library was transformed into a multimillion-dollar showplace that earned a Silver LEED certification. Kids play soccer on former parade grounds of the converted army barracks. Crown Memorial State Beach and Shoreline Drive attract wind surfers.

With more than 10,000 buildings constructed before 1930, there is a rich and varied architectural heritage in the area playing a role in Alameda's real estate market conditions. Historic Queen Anne's, more than 1,500 ornately decorated Victorians, and California Craftsmans are some of the most desirable homes here along its tree-lined streets.
